US Rep’s House running 100% on a Tesla battery with C on Pi.

US House of Representative Thomas Massie repurposed tesla’s Model S battery to power his house 100%. He tweeted and also posted a video on youtube three years back. He has STEM degrees from MIT; he holds bachlors degree (’93) in Electrical engineering and an MS degree (’95) from MIT.

He tweeted claiming he runs his house “24 hours per day, with zero interruptions for four years, our house has been running on a battery I repurposed from a wrecked Tesla Model S. It’s recharged each day with about 17 kilowatts of solar panels (69 panels). It has the capacity of about 6 powerwalls.”

He used Raspberry Pi and C programing witto built his own power grid.
